joined such two cubic’s. The third place step is a cuboidal shape of 30cm length 30cm breadth and

We know that,

The respective surface areas of the front & back sides are equal.

So,

2 ( 30 × 30 + 30 × 30 + 30 × 30 + 30 × 15) cm^2

= 2 ( 900 + 900 + 900 + 450) cm^2

=  6300 cm^2

Now, the surface areas of the left and right sides are,

2 ( 30 × 60) cm^2

= 2 × 1800 cm^2

= 3600 cm^2

Also, the Surface area of the top side,

= 3 ( 30 × 30) cm^2

= 2700 cm^2

∴ total surface area  = (6300 + 3600 + 2700) cm^2

= 12600 cm^2

Ans) 12600 cm² is the required surface area to paint the podium, except for the base
