Answer:

trees are a intrinsic part of our ecosystem. they are a vital and crucial part of it even. there is no life possible without them. it is even said that if there is life anywhere else in the universe it cannot be without trees. joking. it can be without them but that doesn't mean they are not important. actually , let me frame it this way: if there is human life anywhere else in the universe it is not possible without them, as you see life is not just all-human life or animals life. anyways, for us they are equivalent to life. they provide us with the early coined name "dephlogisticated air" coined by Priestley for oxygen. however, if you are aware of this trees also bind soil together, which helps in preventing soil erosion i.e. wearing away of the fertile top soil by the actions of wind ,water or insects. as the top soil is preserved it can be used for growing food crops to sustain the family of farmers and of course to satisfy the hunger of our country's vast population. they also help in rain. i don't know how but I've just heard it since my childhood so mentioned it, don't know whether it's worth it or not. trees also play a role of beautifying our mother nature, they are like a precious jewel. they attract travellers from across the world. so therefore they add in the revenue of the country too. nature has the power and potential to heal people, even a very minute thing can change the mood of a person from sorrowful and regretful to a cheerful one. on this I remember one poem by Robert Frost "Dust Of Snow" , where he beautifully portrayed nature as a healer. No need to go deep. if you don't know what i meant to say is this that in nutshell nature and humans are interconnected to each other, humans are dependent to nature and trees but they are not dependent on us. even we harm our environment to satisfy the needs of a few individuals. it leads to global ecological crisis such as land slides, global warming and ozone layer depletion. and i am pretty much sure no one wants their to species to extinguish so let's take a pledge to save trees and make every day not just 30 April Arbor day and plant trees.  these are only some of the significance of trees and trust me on this if you are depressed fell the overwhelming touch of nature's air on you and you will bloom like heaven. i apologize if anyone was offended by what i said...and remember don't copy this no plagiarism allowed!!
