Sub: Poor condition of street lights
Sir:
I am writing to your esteemed self to express my deep concern and anguish over the poor state of sanitation and street lights in our colony. Almost all the bulbs have been fused or damaged. After it gets dark, moving on the colony streets is dangerous and risky. Many accidents have happened owing to poor visibility.
Some cases of chain and purse snatching have also been reported and the other antisocial activities are on the increase. I appeal to your kind self to look into the matter and have the street lights made functional again.
The uncleaned garbage heaps keep lying for days in our area. Though there many garbage bins installed by the Municipal Corporation, but these bins remain choked to brim! The garbage man does not clean them regularly. As a result they remain stuffed and stinking for days. Dogs have a great time rummaging these bins! But it creates unnecessary litter in the colony at all times. The sewage system also needs to be repaired. Broken manholes without covers are serious threat to people. The dirty water keeps oozing from them causing widespread stink in our colony.
