Rajasthan Vikas Party was founded by Harnam Singh Sikarwarin in 1987. It is the third largest party in the state of Rajasthan and has taken part in all parliamentary and assembly elections of the state. It tried to contest on its own in the 1998 assembly elections but failed. 
However, Singh later abandoned the party and joined the Indian National Congress.

राजस्थान पार्टी की स्थापना सन 1987 में हरनाम सिंह सिकरवारिन द्वारा की गई थी।

यह राजनीतिक पार्टी राजस्थान राज्य की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी राजनीतिक पार्टी है। इसे राजस्थान विकास पार्टी के नाम से जाना जाता है।

1998 में इस पार्टी ने राजस्थान असेम्बली एलेक्शन्स में भाग लेने की तैयारी की लेकिन असफल रही।

अनेकों कोशिशों के बाद भी जब पार्टी को सफलता न मिल पाई तो संस्थापक हरनाम सिंह ने हार मान कर राजस्थान विकास पार्टी को छोड़कर इंडियन नेशनल कांग्रेस में शामिल होने का अहम फैसला ले लिया।

आज इस पार्टी के अनेकों कार्यरत कार्यकर्ता हैं जो कि पार्टी को सफल बनायें रखने में अहम भूमिका निभा रहे हैं।
