Though women were not given much opportunities, they were the citizens of the country. The roman empire was divided into patricians and plebeians. patricians include all the high class noble people(rich men and women)who could enjoy political social and economic rights. But plebeians were exploited by patricians as plebeians belonged to lower class family (poor men or women).
