Stomata are the small openings present on the lower surface of the leaves which are guarded by guard cells.
Stomata can also be present in some parts of stem of a plants.
Functions of Stomata:
1. They help in exchange of gases like CO2 and O2 between the plant and atmosphere.
2. It helps in transpiration of water.
3.They help to carry out photosynthesis in plants.
