Kafi is a raga in Hindustani classical music. It corresponds to Kharaharapriya in Carnatic music. Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande classified most ragas into ten thaats; Kafi thaat is one of them. The raga Kafi is the principal raga of its thaat.
