Given:-

▪︎Loss% made by Ravi on scooty = 28%

▪︎Money spent by Vineeta on scooty = Rs.1680

▪︎S.P. of scooty which is sold by Vineeta = Rs.35910

▪︎Profit % made by Vineeta = 12.5 %

To Find:-

▪︎Cost price of scooty for Raavi

Formula Used:-

▪︎S.P. when Loss% is given

= [ (100 - Loss%) ÷ 100] × C.P.

▪︎S.P. when Profit % is given

= [ (100 + Profit%) ÷ 100] × C.P.

Here,

  • S.P. = Selling Price
  • C.P. = Cost Price

Solution:-

➥ Let the C.P. of scooty for Raavi be Rs.x

➥ S.P. of scooty for raavi

= [ (100 - Loss%) ÷ 100] × C.P.

= [ (100 - 28) ÷ 100 ] × x

= [ 72 ÷ 100 ] × x

= 0.72 × x

= Rs.0.72x

➥ Total C.P. of scooty for Vineeta

= S.P. for Raavi + Money spent

= 0.72x + 1680

According to given conditions;

S.P. of scooty for Vineeta = Rs. 35910

➟ [ (100 + Profit %) ÷ 100] × C.P. = Rs. 35910

➟ [ (100 + 12.5%) ÷ 100 ] × (0.72x+1680) = Rs. 35910

➟ [112.5 ÷ 100] × (0.72x + 1680) = 35910

➟ 1.125 × (0.72x + 1680) = 35910

➟ 0.81x + 1890= 35910

➟ 0.81x = 35910 - 1890

➟ x = 34020 - 0.81

➟ x = 42,000

∴ x = C.P. of scooty for Raavi = Rs.42000

Answer:-

▪︎C.P. of scooty for Raavi is Rs. 42000.

 \huge \sf{ \underline{ \underline{Given:-}}}

  • Loss% by Ravi on scooty = 28%
  • Money spent by Vineeta on scooty = Rs.1680
  • S.P. of scooty which is sold by Vineeta = Rs.35910
  • Profit % by Vineeta = 12.5 %

 \huge \sf{ \underline{ \underline{ \red{To  \: Find:-}}}}

  • Cost price of scooty for Raavi

Formulas we will use here:-

  • S.P. when Loss% is given

 \sf \: = [ (100 - Loss\%) ÷ 100] × C.P.

  • S.P. when Profit % is given

 \sf= [ (100 + Profit\%) ÷ 100] × C.P.

  \huge \sf{ \underline{ \underline{Solution:-}}}

  • Let the C.P. of scooty for Raavi be Rs.x

S.P. of scooty for raavi

= [ (100 - Loss%) ÷ 100] × C.P.

= [ (100 - 28) ÷ 100 ] × x

= [ 72 ÷ 100 ] × x

= 0.72 × x

= Rs.0.72x

  • Total C.P. of scooty for Vineeta

= S.P. for Raavi + Money spent

= 0.72x + 1680

According to Question:-

S.P. of scooty for Vineeta = Rs. 35910

 \rightarrow\sf \:[ (100 + Profit \%) ÷ 100] × C.P. = Rs. 35910

 \sf \: [ (100 + 12.5\%) ÷ 100 ] × (0.72x+1680) = Rs. 35910

⇒ [112.5 ÷ 100] × (0.72x + 1680) = 35910

⇒ 1.125 × (0.72x + 1680) = 35910

⇒ 0.81x + 1890= 35910

⇒ 0.81x = 35910 - 1890

⇒ x = 34020 - 0.81

⇒ x = 42,000

 \sf \: ∴ x = C.P. of \:  scooty \:  for \:  Raavi = Rs.42000

  • C.P. of scooty for Raavi is Rs. 42000.
