Rabi’s age is three times his daughter’s age. Ten years ago he was five times his daughter’s age . Find their present ages​

By question in 1st condition,

x=3y...i) as father is 3 times of daughter age

also

in 2nd condition,

x-10=5(y-10) as it is 10 years before and father is five times of daughter age

or x-10=5y-50

or x=5y-40...ii)

from i) and ii)

3y=5y-40

or y=20

keeping x=3y=3*20=60

so x=rabi=60 yrs and daughter=y=20 yrs
