Race did not make me an Indian . but history did what does Ruskin Bond mean by history why does he feel it more important than this week which do you think matter more ?

Ironically, in India, "Ruskin bond" was an "outsider" because of his "race" and "British parentage", yet when he came home to Jersey (England). A place that was foreign to him; he was regarded as an outsider because he was Anglo-Indian. This made him feel rejected and unwanted in his own country. His longing for dhera made his return back on the west when he still was able to do so.

Ruskin Bond feel history is more important than race because if he reverts to his ancestors they are belong to India but only because of his Nordic grandparents all people called him as American that's why to prove himself as an Indian is more important than race
