So cost of onion is Rs 30
1 3/8 kg of tomatoes @16 8/11 per kg
So cost of tomatoes= 1 3/8 X 16 8/11
= 11/8 X 184/11
= RS 23
Total money she gave
RS 30 + RS 23 = RS 53
So, Salma paid RS 53 to the shopkeeper in all.
