Rachel was cutting out some fabric for his friend. She cut a piece that was 5 cm wide and
8.5 cm long . How much is the area of this piece.

Length = 8.5 cm

Width = 5 cm

It is a rectangular piece of fabric

Area of a rectangle = Length × Width

= 8.5 × 5

= 42.5
