Rachit starts driving at 9 am
" reaches at 1 pm

Time taken 4 hrs

Then

30 km/hr ×4 hr
120km

speed=distance÷time

s =120km ÷ 4hr

t = 30km/hr

Is it write ?
I hope you helped with this answer my friend

Rachit should drive the car at a speed of 40km/hr to reach the desired place at 12 noon and increase the speed of the car by (40-30)= 10km/hr.

Given:

Speed of the car = 30km/h.

Duration of journey = 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To Find:

Time taken to reach the place is from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Solution:

Here, we have the time taken by the Rachit =9a.m.to1p.m.=4hrs.

now, the desired time is taken for Rachit to reach the place =9a.m.to12noon.

here, we have,

Time(in hrs) =4hrs and 3hrs.

and speed(in km/hr) =30km/hr.

Let's supposed that, the desired speed of the car is xkm/hr.

As, we know that if the speed is more, then the car will take less time to cover its distance.

so, by applying the case of inverse variation.

we get,

4\times 30=3\times x

now, x=\frac{4\times 30}{3}

here, we get x=40.

Hence, Rachit should drive the car at a speed of 40km/hr to reach the desired place at 12 noon and increase the speed of the car by (40-30)= 10km/hr.
