Step-by-step explanation:

Given Radha take some flower in a basket and visits temples one by one. At each Temple she offers one half of the flowers from the basket if she is left with three flowers at the end then find the number of flowers she had in the beginning

Now let the number of flowers be f

According to question

Radha goes to 1st temple, so we get f – f / 2 = f/2

Again she goes to second temple, so we get f / 2 – f/2 x 1/2

                               simplifying we get   f / 2 – f / 4

                                                                    = f / 4

Now she goes to the third temple, so we get f / 4 – f / 4 x 1/2

                                  simplifying we get = f / 4 – f / 8

               = f / 8

So in the end she is left with 3 flowers, so we get f / 8 = 3

     Or f = 24

Therefore number of flowers she had in the beginning is 24
