Let the total no.of flowers Radha had at first be x.
after visiting first temple no.of flowers remaining with her=x-(x/2)
                                                                                          =x/2
after visiting second temple no.of flowers remaining with her=(x/2)-(x/4)
                                                                                               =x/4
after visiting third temple no.of flowers remaining with her=(x/4)-(x/8)
                                                                                           =x/8
at last flowers remaining are 3.
that is,
          (x/4)-(x/8)=3
        ⇒x/8=3
        ⇒x=24
∴No.of flowers she took to temple at first is 24.
