Radha was initially good in studies. After some time her academic performance started declining and she became irritable. This change was noticed by her class teacher. On interacting with Radha she got to know that Radha had six siblings and stayed in a small house, and the mother was always sick. The teacher motivated her to concentrate on her studies and counselled her. (a) Mention two factors that could have resulted in this change of behaviour and poor performance of Radha? (b) Mention a way by which the mother and the father individually could have helped to control the size of the family. (c) What values are promoted by the teacher?

a) Two factors responsible for change in her behaviour and her poor performance are:-

i) She needs to take care of large number of siblings because her mother is ill, due to which her studies are affected.

ii)Small size of her house, which provides very less space for studying.

Finally these lead to a change in her behaviour.

b) They could have used birth control methods loke the use of condom or copper t, to avoid having such a large nimber of children.

c) The values given by the teacher are care for his/her students and a good motivator.
