Radhika buy a washing machine for Rs 12000 and sell it at a profit of 18% how much money does she get for it ?

{ \bf{ \underline{ \red{ \underline{Solution:-}}}}}

Let, C.P. be the cost price & S.P. be the selling price .

Here, C.P. = Rs 12000 &

Profit % = 18%

we use formula

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{Profit  \: percentage =  \frac{Profit \times 100}{C.P.} }}}}}

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{18 =  \frac{Profit \times 100}{12000} }}}} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: i.e.}

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{Profit   =  \frac{18 \times 12000 }{100} }}}}}

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{Profit   =  \frac{216000 }{100} }}}}}

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{Profit   =  Rs \: 2160}}}}}

Now, we find selling price of washing machine .

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{ S.P. = C.P.  +  Profit    }}}}}

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{ S.P. = 12000  +  2160    }}}}}

{ \sf{  \red{\dashrightarrow{ \green{ S.P. = Rs \: 14160    }}}}}

Hence, Radhika sold washing machine at Rs 14160 and gain profit Rs 2160.

i hope it helps you.
