Radhika has 14 apples. Her Friend Mahima takes away 3 and gives you 2. Radhika drops 7 but picks up 4. Bhupendra takes 4 from Radhika and gives 5. Radhika takes one from Mahima and gives it to Bhupendra in exchange for 3 more. Radhika gives those 3 to Mahima and Mahima gives her an apple and an orange. Fazia comes and takes the apple Mahima gave her and gives her a pear. Radhika gives the pear to Bhupendra in exchange for an apple. Fazia then takes an apple from Mahima, gives it to Bhupendra for an orange, and gives Radhika the orange for an apple. How many pears does Radhika have?

ANSWER:

  • Radhika will not have any pear.

TO FIND:

  • The number of pears that Radhika had at last.

EXPLANATION:

At starting Radhika has 14 apples

Mahima = 3 - 2 = 1 apple.

Mahima gave apples to us so we have 2 apples.

Now Radhika has 14 - 3 = 11 apples

Now she drops 7 apples [ 11 - 7 = 4 ] and picks up 4 apples [ 4 + 4 = 8]

Now Radhika has 8 apples.

Again she took up the apple from Mahima and gave it to Bhupendra and got 3 more apples.

Now Radhika has 8 + 3 = 11 apples.

Radhika gave 3 apples to Mahima.

Now Radhika has 11 - 3 = 8 apples.

She took an apple and an orange from Mahima.

So Radhika will have 8 + 1 = 9 apples and 1 orange.

Fazia took one apple and gave her a pear.

Radika will have 9 - 1 = 8 apples, 1 orange, 1 pear.

Radhika gave the pear and got an apple .

So now Radhika will have 8 + 1 = 9 apples and 1 orange.

Fazia takes an apple from Mahima.

Fazia gave the apple and got orange from Bhupendra.

Fazia took an apple and gave an orange to Radhika.

Now Radhika will have have 9 - 1 = 8 apples and 1 orange , 0 pears.

HENCE RADHIKA END UP WITHOUT A SINGLE PEAR.
