We have to find the HCF of the given numbers

HCF of 80 and 96 is 4

now we have to divide the ribbon into pieces

80+96=176

176\div 4=44

She has 44 pairs of ribbons

Now if she is to gift her two daughters then she will give 4 ribbons

44-4=40

so she is left with 40 ribbons.
