Solution :-

given that,

  • 42 machines to produce a given number of articles in 63 days.
  • The deadline for completing the order is 54 days .

so,

→ In 63 days num. of articles is produced by = 42 machines

→ In 1 day, num. of articles is produced by = (42 * 63) machines .

→ In 54 days, num. of articles is produced by = (42 * 63)/54 = 49 machines .

Therefore, 49 machines are required to produce the same number of articles in 54 days. Hence, Radhika is not able to complete the order in time.

also ,

→ If 8 machines which were under repair have started working properly , then days required to complete the order = (42 * 63)/50 = 52.92 days. (Ans.)
