Hy there,
Are u also a BDS student?
Well, I'm an intern in dentistry.
So i know, IOPA is the short form of IntraOral PeriApical radiograph.
It is a Xray taken to study 1-3 teeth in mouth.
Radioopaque structures in IOPA are-
Enamel, Dentin, Cementum, Lamina dura, Alveolar crest, Alveolar Bone
Radiolucent structures include-
Pulp, Periodontal ligament space, Bone marrow space, Nutrient Canals.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
