Radius of a circle is 10cm.Area of a sector is 100.Find the area of its corresponding major sector

ANSWER

r=10cm

area of major sector = area of circle-area of minor sector

=πr²-100

=22/7x10x10-100

=2200/7-100

=314.2-100

=214.2cm²

area of circle equal to πr2.

so, area equal to 317.28 centimetre square

and given area of sector = 100 cm square

now,

when we subtract area of circle and area of sector , we get we get area of major sector .

=317.28-100

=217.28
