Circumference= 2πr
=2 ×22/7×3.5
=2×22×0.5
=22cm
Area=πr²
=22/7×3.5×3.5
=11×3.5
=38.5cm²

Given,

The radius of the circle = 3.5 cm.

To Find,

The circumference and the area of the given circle,

Solution,

We know that for any circle with a radius r unit,

  • The area of the circle = πr^{2} unit^{2},
  • The circumference = 2πr unit.

So here r =3.5cm.

∴The area of the circle = π×(3.5)^{2}

=\frac{22}{7}×12.25 cm^{2}.

=38.5cm^{2}.

The circumference of the circle is = 2×\frac{22}{7}×3.5 cm.=22 cm.

Hence, The circumference of the circle is 22 cm and the area is 38.5 cm^{2}.
