Radius of a circle is 73 cm. The distance of the chord from the centre is 48 cm. Find the length of the chord.​

to find - length of the chord

let the length of chord be 2x.

by using Pythagoras theorem,

(r) ²=(p) ²+(x) ²

(73) ²=(48) ²+(x) ²

5329=2304+x²

x²=3025

x=√3025

x=55cm

length of the chord is 2x=2×55

=110cm.
