Answer:

400%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Radius of a cylinder is increased by 150 cm and height is decrease by 20 cm what is the % increase in its volume

ANSWER

 Let the radius of cylinder be 100 cm and height be also 100 cm

  We know that

       Volume = πr^2 h

           V = π(100)^2 x 100

           V = 1000000 π cm^3

 Now given radius = (100 + 150) = 250 cm

   Height = (100 – 20) = 80 cm

Therefore volume = π (250)^2 x 80 = 50,00,000 π

Now increase in volume = (50,00,000 – 10,00,000)π

                                       = 40,00,000 π cm^3

Increase in percentage will be 40,00,000 /10,00,000

                                = 4 x 100

                        = 400%

So the % increase in its volume is 400%
