Good Morning

How r u?? ❤️

Here's ur answer

Since the radius of cation is smaller than that of the anion,

The cation will have more polarising power ie the ability to distort the electron cloud around the -vely charged anion

The anion will have more polarisibility ie the ability to get distorted by the cation

By Fajans Rule, we know that

More the polarisibility of anion and

More the polarising power of the cation

The molecule will have greater amount of covalent character

Explanation:

After removal of first electron, the remaining electrons are held more firmly by the nucleus and thus the atom has greater nuclear charge which makes the size of the atom smaller and hence cation has smaller size. While in case of anion, usually electron is added to a new shell which makes the atomic size larger due to presence of extra electron.
