radius of circular base of an ear of corn is 6.6 and it height is 11.2 if on an average 1 sqcm area contains 2 corn kernels find the total number of kernels on a corn

Using the Formula


CSA of corn = πrl


\bf\huge l = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}


= \bf\huge\sqrt{(6.6)^2 + (11.2)^2}


= \bf\huge\sqrt{43.56 + 125.44}

= \bf\huge\sqrt{169}

= 13 cm


\bf\huge CSA = \frac{22}{7}\times6.6\times13


= 269.7 cm²


269.7 cm² cover


= 269.7 × 2


= 539.4 kernels
