Given:

  • Radius of earth = 6400km
  • Radius of Mars = 4300000m

To find:

  • Whose radius is bigger?
  • Radius is greater by how much?

Solution:

Given that radius of Earth is 6400km and radius of Mars is 4300000m. Units of radius of Mars ans Earth is totally different. So to compare that whose radius is bigger, we need to make same units of both.

  • Radius of Earth is 6400km, Unit = km
  • Radius of Mars is 4300000m, unit = m

Changing unit of radius of Mars into the units of radius of Earth which is km :-

1000m = 1km

→ 1m = 1/1000m.

→ 4300000m = \large{\bf{\frac{1}{1000}×4300000}}

→ 4300000m = 4300km

Now,

  • Radius of Earth = 6400km
  • Radius of Mars = 4300km

Here, we can see that, \large{\boxed{\sf{Radius~ of~ Earth~ is~ greater}}}

Let see that by how much the radius of earth id bigger than Mars :-

Radius of earth > Radius of Mars

Therefore, 6400 - 4300

→ 2100

Hence,

\large{\boxed{\sf{Radius\:of\: Earth\:is\:2100km\: bigger\:than\:Mars}}}
