Hello,
we calculate the purchase cost of only one egg:
61:100=0.61 rs
we calculate the number of eggs to sell:
100-12=88 eggs
we calculate the cost of selling eggs:
(0.61×88)+5=53.63+5=58.63 rs
we calculate the selling price of an egg:
58.63:88=0.67 rs

Total eggs = 100

C. P ( cost price) of 100 eggs = 61

12 eggs were rotten so Unrotten eggs = 100 - 12 = 88 .

He sold remaining eggs at rs. 5 profit which means he sold 88 eggs for rs. 61+5= 66.

so total eggs = 88 and C. P of 88 eggs = 66 .

So, C.P of each remaining egg = C.P of all remaining eggs ÷ total no. of remaining eggs Which means 66÷88= •75 ans..
