Raghu’s father is a gold smith. He is at work and raghu can see that his father is using a small hammer to beat the gold piece. Raghu tells him not to do so because it might break the gold into pieces
a) was raghu right in saying so? Justify your answer.
b) What property of the gold metal is being taken advantage of? Can you name two other elements which have the same property?
Do you think jewellery made of pure is more strong or that with an alloy of gold. Justify your answers.

a) No , Raghu was not right becuase on beating gold can not break down it makes it strong.

b) The property of gold is malleability. Aluminium has the same property .

c) No , Jewellary made up of pure is not strong as strong as made up of alloy. gold smith strethen it by adding other metlas like silver and copper.
