Raghu studies in grade 6. He wants a cricket bat to be made by a
carpenter. He tells the carpenter that the length of the bat should be 7
hand spans. The tall carpenter tells Raghu that it will be ready by
tomorrow. When Raghu went to collect the bat the next day, he was
very disappointed.

Why?

Was the bat longer or shorter than what Raghu expected?

Give reason.
After getting disappointed, Raghu asked the carpenter to make the bat
again. But this time, he told the length of the bat in cm.

Will Raghu be disappointed this time too?

What do you infer from this?

Explanation:

(i) Raghu Is disappointed as the length of the bat is longer than what he wanted. this is because he asked it to be 7 handspan long. And everyone's handspan lenght is different.

As you mentioned it was a tall person, His handspan would be longer than Raghu's as he is a small child in 6th grade

(ii) He Would not be disappointed the 2nd time as he gave the length in cms. Therefore the bat would be just as long as he wants and he would not be disappointed
