₹39 is the right answer for your question.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost price of pen be =>x

Then the cost price of book will be = x+18

So According to the question=> Book+Pen=₹60

=> x+x+18=60

=> 2x+18=60

=>2x=60-18

=>2x=42

=>x=42/2

=>x=21

Therefore, the cost price of pen is ₹21.

Cost Price of Book was 18 more than the cost price of pen.

Cost Price of book = Cost Price of Pen+18

Cost Price of book = 21+18

Cost Price of book=> 39.
