Rahim is 3 years older than Ramesh. If 12 is added to Rahim's age and 3 is
subtracted from Ramesh's age, then Rahim will be 3 times as old as Ramesh.
Find Rahim's age.​

Given :- Rahim is 3 years older than Ramesh. If 12 is added to Rahim's age and 3 is subtracted from Ramesh's age, then Rahim will be 3 times as old as Ramesh .Find Rahim's age. ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, Rahim age is x years.

so,

→ Rahim age = Ramesh + 3

→ Ramesh age = (x - 3) years.

A/q,

→ Rahim age + 12 = 3(Ramesh - 3)

→ (x + 12) = 3(x - 3 - 3)

→ x + 12 = 3(x - 6)

→ x + 12 = 3x - 18

→ 3x - x = 12 + 18

→ 2x = 30

→ x = 15 years. (Ans.)

Hence, Rahim's age is 15 years.
