Rahim, while driving to school, computes the average speed for his trip to be 20 km h-1. On his return
trip along the same route, there is less traffic and the average speed is 30 km h-!. What is the average
speed for Rahim's trip?​

Given-

Speed for going =20km/h

Speed for returning=30km/h

Let the distance=x

And total distance = 2x

Time for 1st journey=t1=distance/speed

t1=x/20

Time for 2nd journey = t2 =distance/speed

t2=x/30

Total time=t1+t2

=x/20+x/30

=(3x+2x)/60

=5x/60

Average speed=Total distance/Total time

=2x/5x/60

=2×60/5

=120/5

=24km/h
