To Find :-

• Their present ages.

Let the present age of Rakhi be x years.

Rakhi's mother is four times Rakhi's age = 4x years

Five years later,

Rakhi's age will be x + 5

Rakhi's mother age will be 4x + 5

After five years, Rakhi's mother will be three times as old as she will be then = 3( x + 5 )

According to question

4x + 5 = 3(x + 5 )

= = > 4x + 5 = 3x + 15

= = > 4x - 3x = 15 - 5

= = > x = 10

Rakhi's age = 10 years

Rakhi's mother age = 10 × 4 = 40 years
