Answer:

Rahul has 15 marbles and Kunal has 27 marbles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Rahul has x marbles and Kunal has y marbles

If Rahul takes 6 marbles from Kunal then y - 6 = x + 6

x - y + 12 = 0 ........ (1)

If Kunal takes one marble from Rahul, Kunal would have twice the marbles as Rahul :

y + 1 = 2·(x - 1)

⇒ 2·x - y - 3 = 0............. (2)

From (1) we have x = y - 12 .......(3)

Substituting x = y - 12 in (2)

⇒ 2·( y - 12 ) - y -3 = 0

⇒ y = 27

Putting this value in (3)

⇒ x = y - 12

⇒ x = 27 - 12

⇒ x = 15

So, Rahul has 15 marbles and Kunal has 27 marbles
