His loss percentage will be 16\frac{1}{14} \%.

Given,

Cost of computer Rahul bought = ₹52,000.

Spent on repairs = ₹4000.

He sells it at ₹47,000.

To find,

His loss percentage.

Solution,

It can be seen here, that Rahul bought a computer whose cost price is given to be ₹52,000.

Further, he spends ₹4000 on repairs.

Now, as we can see that the repair cost is also borne by Rahul himself, this amount shall also be included in the overall or effective cost price that he had to pay.

So, the new cost price will be

= ₹52,000 + ₹4000

= ₹56,000.

CP = ₹56,000.

Now, the loss percentage is determined using the relation

Loss \% =\frac{CP -SP}{CP} \times 100 \hfill ...(1)

Here, as it is given,

SP = ₹47,000.

Thus, using (1),

Loss \% =\frac{56000 -47000}{56000} \times 100

\implies Loss \% =\frac{9000}{56000} \times 100

\implies Loss \% =\frac{9}{14} \times25

\implies Loss \% =\frac{225}{14} \%

Or,

Loss \% =16\frac{1}{14} \%

Therefore, his loss percentage will be 16\frac{1}{14} \%.
