Answer:∴ The loss percentage is 16.07%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:Cost price of computer is Rs.52000 and Rahulspent Rs 4000 on its repairing. He sells the computer at Rs.47000.

To find:We have to find the loss percentage.

Explanation:

Step 1:Cost price of the car is Rs.52000

i.e.                        C.P.=Rs.52000

Step 2:As Rahulrepairs the computer and spent Rs.4000 on it.

∴ Total cost of the car =Rs.52000+Rs4000

                                     =Rs.56000

Step 3:Selling price of the computer is Rs.47000.

i.e.                          S.P.=Rs.47000

Step 4:As the selling price is less than the cost price. Therefore Rahul having loss on selling the computer.

∴    Loss= C.P - S.P.

⇒   Loss=Rs.56000-Rs.47000

⇒   Loss=Rs.9000

Rahul having loss of Rs.9000 on selling his computer.

Step 5:The loss percent can be given by the formula,

⇒                     Loss%=\frac{Loss}{C.P.}×100

⇒                     Loss%=\frac{9000}{56000}×100

⇒                     Loss%=\frac{900000}{56000}

⇒                      Loss%=16.07%

∴ The loss percentage is 16.07%
