Answer:

Rs 3000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say MRP of cycle = Rs  3M

Discount he got = 40/3 %

Discount = ((40/3)/100) * 3M =  0.4M   Rs

Cost Price = 3M - 0.4M = Rs 2.6M

He got by Rent = half of CP =  2.6M/2 = Rs 1.3M

He sold it at Half of MRP = 3M/2 = Rs 1.5M

Total Amount Received = 1.3M + 1.5M = Rs 2.8M

Earning = 2.8M - 2.6M = 0.2M

0.2M = 200

=> M = 1000

MRP of cycle = 3M = Rs 3000
