→ LCM of 12 & 7 = 84 unit = Let Total work.
So,
→ Efficiency of Rahul = (Total work) / (Total No. of Days.) = (84/12) = 7 units/day.
Similarly,
→ Efficiency of Manoj = (Total work) / (Total No. of Days.) = (84/7) = 12 units/day.
given that, they work together for 2 days.
So,
→ in 2 days they together finish the work = 2(7 + 12) = 38 units.
than,
→ Left work done to be done by rahul alone now = 84 - 38 = 46 units. { since Manoj leaves } .
Therefore,
→ Time taken by rahul to finish remaining work = (Left work) / (Efficiency of rahul) = (46/7) days. (Ans.)
Hence, Rahul alone take (46/7) days to finish the remaining work alone.
