Given : Rahul decided to tile the path from his house to garage with the tiles of length 3 ft, 4 ft  and 5 ft.

tiled  the first row with 5 ft tiles, second row with 3 ft tiles and third  row with 4 ft tiles without cutting any of the tiles.

To Find : What can be the shortest length of the  path?

Solution:

To Find  the shortest length of the  path so that no tile of 3 ft , 4ft anf 5ft length is cut

We need to find LCM of ( 3 , 4 , 5)

3  = 3 x 1

4 =  2 x 2

5 = 5 x 1

LCM = 2 x 2 x 3 x 5 = 60

Minimum length of path = 60 ft
