Let the weight of box B be x

Box A = x + 5/2

Box C = x + 41/4

Solve x :

The total weight is 243/4 kg

x + x + 5/2 + x + 41/4 = 243/4

3x + 51/4 = 243/4

3x = 243/4 - 51/4

3x = 48

x = 48÷ 3 = 16 kg

Find the weight of A:

Box A = x + 5/2

Box A = 16 + 5/2 = 37/2 kg

Answer: Box A is 37/2 kg
