Rahul is 19 years younger than his cousin after 5 years their ages will be in the ratio 2:3 find their present age ( pls answer this question by method wise)

let rahuls cousin age be 'x' , then rahuls age = x-19 (19 yrs younger)

after 5 yrs their age will be :  cousin = x+5 , rahul = x-19+5 = x-14

so , ATQ

ratio of their ages = 2 : 3

rahuls age / cousins age = 2/3

x-14/x+5 = 2/3

2(x+5) = 3 (x-14)

2x +10=3x -42

x = 52

So his cousin age = 52 yrs , rahuls age= x-19 = 52-19 = 33yrs
