ABCD IS A PARALLELOGRAM

PQS AND ABCD ARE ON SAME BASE AND BETWEEN SAME PARALLELS

QS AND QS// AD

area of PQS = 1/2 ADQS(1)

SIMILARLY


QSR = 1/2 QSCB (2)

ADD 1 & 2

PQS + QSR = 1/2 ( ADQS + QSCB )

PQRS = 1/2 ( ABCD)
