we will convert all these value to grams
2.5 kg = 2.5×1000 g
= 2500 g

0.6 kg = 0.6 *1000
600 g

total weight = 2500g +1250g+600g+ 250g
= 4600 g or 4600/1000 = 4.6 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Rahul needs to collect 2.5 kg of tomatoes, 250 g of potatoes, 0.6 kg of cucumbers and 1250 g of onions

To Find : What is the total weight of vegetables he has to bring home?

Solution:

Weight of tomatoes = 2.5 kg

1 kg = 1000 g

2.5 kg = 2.5 \times 1000

          = 2500g

So, weight of tomatoes in g = 2500 g

Weight of Potatoes = 250 g

Weight of cucumbers = 0.6 kg

1 kg = 1000 g

0.6 kg = 0.6 \times 1000

          = 600g

So, weight of cucumbers in g = 600 g

Weight of onions = 1250 g

So, total weight = Weight of tomatoes+Weight of Potatoes+Weight of cucumbers+Weight of onions

Total weight = 2500 g+250 g +600 g +1250 g

                    =4600 g

Hence the total weight of vegetables he has to bring home is 4600 g.
