Rahul owns a rectangular field of length m and breadth 200m .His friend ramu owns a square field of length 300m .Find the cost of fencing the two fields at rupees 150 per meter .if one tree can be planted in an area of 10 sq m. Who can plant more trees in his field ? How many more trees can he plant ?

Mistake in this question :- Length of Rahul's field is not given it is 400m

To find the cost of fencing of the fields, we have to find the perimeter of the fields.

Perimeter of the rectangular field (Owner is Rahul) = 2(L + B)

= 2(400 + 200)

=2*600

Perimeter of the rectangular field = 1200 m

Perimeter of the square field (Owner is Ramu) = 4*Side

= 4*300

Perimeter of the square field = 1200 m

Cost of fencing per meter = Rs. 150

Total cost of fencing the rectangular field = 150*1200

= Rs. 180000

Total cost of fencing the square field = 150*1200

= Rs. 180000

To find about who can plant more trees in his respective field, we have to find the area of both the fields.

Area of rectangular field (Rahul's field) = L*B 

= 400*200

= 80000 sq m

Area of square field (Ramu's field) = Side*Side

= 300*300

= 90000 sq m

In every 10 sq m area, 1 tree can be panted.

In Rahul's field total number of trees can be planted = 80000/10 

= 8000 Trees

In Ramu's field total number of trees can b planted = 90000/10

= 9000 trees

Therefore, 8000 trees can be planted in Rahul's field and 9000 trees can be planted in Ramu's field. So, Ramu can plant more trees and Ramu can plant 1000 more trees than Rahul.
