Answer: Given,

Rahul purchased 2.5 kg of potato, 3.75 kg of onions.

Then, Total weight of vegetables

= 2.5 Kg + 3.75 kg

= 6.25 kg.

Then A/Q,

While reaching home he found that 4.65 kg of vegetable

Now, (6.25-4.65) kg

= 1.6 kg

Then, weight of onions = 3.75 kg

Now, total weight loss of onions

= (3.75-1.6) kg

=2.15 kg.

Hence, onions were lost by weight

= 2.15 kg.
