Given:

Rahul's class ends at 2 PM and his dad reaches the school exactly at 2 PM everyday to pick him up.

To find:

How much time did Rahul walk for?

Solution:

From given, we have,

Rahul's class ends at 2 PM and his dad reaches the school exactly at 2 PM every day to pick him up.

But today the class ended at 1 PM and Rahul starts walking towards home.

Exactly before 1 hour the class ends.

we know that 1 hour = 60 minutes.

He meets his dad on the way, then they both return home by car. They reach home 20 minutes earlier than usual

Usually, they take 1 hour (60 minutes) to reach home.

But today they reached home 20 minutes earlier than usual

so, we have,

The time Rahul walked = 60 - 20 = 40

Therefore, for 40 minutes Rahul walked.

Answer:

The ans of this depend upon how we think about the situation .

If we consider it as that time taken by his father only going to his home

then ans hi 40 minutes.

as he always take his son at 2 pm .due to early class his son met him in the way and he took 20 min less than usual .this implies that he reach at 1:40 pm so Rahul walk for 40 minutes.

another consideration that if we consider that time of father in coming and going then it means that the way Rahul walk fo take 10 minutes by car so he save 20 mintes this implies that Rahul's father met him at 1:50 pm and he walk for 50 minutes
