Solution :-

• let Rahul present age be x years.
• Then, his father present age =3x years.
• Rahul age after 12years =(x+12) years.
• his father age after 12 years =(3x+12) years.

Therefore,

$(3x + 12) = 2(x + 12 \\ = > 3x + 12 = 2x + 24$

$= > 3x - 2x = 24 - 12 = > x = 12$

Rahul's present age =12 years.

His father's present age =(3 x 12) years =36 years.
