Answer:

Total salary be x

Spent = 0.48x

Deposited = total - spent

18720 = x - 0.48x

18720 = 0.52x

18720/0.52 = x

36000=x

Spend = 36000 - 18720

= 17280

Answer:

He spend 17280 rupees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,Rahul spent 48% of his salary and deposited the remaining money in a bank and deposited amount is Rs18720.

Let total salary of Rahul be x.

He spend  = x \times  \frac{48}{100}  =  \frac{12x}{25} rupees.

Now remaining money = (x -  \frac{12x}{25} ) =  \frac{13x}{25} rupees.

According to question,

 \frac{13x}{25}  = 18720

By cross multiplication,

13x = 18720 \times 25

x =  \frac{18720 \times 25}{13}

x =  1440 \times 25 = 36000

So,salary of Rahul is 36000 rupees.

He spend 36000 \times  \frac{48}{100}  = 17280rupees.
